You’ll never amount to anything!
You’re a loser!
That will never work!
If someone spoke to you like this, I bet you’d consider them abusive and kick them out of your life?! Yet so many people are far more abusive to themselves with their own internal dialogue.
I often reference this powerful quote:“Watch your thoughts, they become words;
watch your words, they become actions;
watch your actions, they become habits;
watch your habits, they become character;
watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”
Stop allowing FEAR to control you.
Make fear your b*tch!
There are so many health related issues caused by fear and worrying.
But the law of probabilities is our friend. Because if we’re rational about it, the very things we often fear are unlikely to happen at all!
Fear does have a place and is a healthy instinct that helps us survive sometimes. But learning how to CONTROL our fear vs letting it control us is key. I know this first hand. I used to worry all the time, believe it or not. Until I decided to put things in perspective.
I was afraid of selling in the US on Amazon.com initially. I feared the rules. That I’d maybe getting into trouble legally. And I told myself it was too complicated. But I was able to confront those fears and learn how to do it anyway. And it TRANSFORMED my business. I was able to turn my Amazon business into my full-time income within months of expanding into the US market!
A fear of failure is also irrational. Because inaction IS failure. Putting off things you know in your heart are important leads to REGRET. Imagine letting the love of your life pass you by because you were afraid to approach them! Or turning down an opportunity that could transform your life for the better because you weren’t sure it was for you.
I created the Seller Academy so others can have the opportunity to learn how to create their own thriving Amazon business. My goal is to help as many people as possible learn how to crate a business that allows them to live a life of freedom like I’ve been so fortunate to enjoy.
A great book I suggest reading if you suffer from worry or fear is How to Stop Worrying and Start Living, by Dale Carnegie. This book helped me overcome a lot of my own worries (being a very analytical minded person I tended to worst case scenario everything)
Nowadays, I plan for the future, yet enjoy the present and take each day at a time. I remind myself of what I’m thankful for and be sure to tell people I appreciate them too. I acknowledge fears, then say “what’s the probability of this happening?” And if the worst case did materialize, what would I do? Preparing for the worst, often puts things in perspective.
